Retatrutide
Client Guide
Your pen is ready. This page covers everything you need for your first injection — kit, storage, dosing, and a full step-by-step tutorial from Khuram.
Full Process Walkthrough
Before reading anything below, watch this 3-minute video. Khuram walks you through the entire process — kit contents, pen calibration, injection technique, and what to expect — exactly as it should be done.
💡 Watch on Wi-Fi if possible. The video is best viewed with sound — Khuram narrates every step as he demonstrates it. The written guide below mirrors everything in the video if you need to refer back.
What's in Your Kit
Your pen has already been prepared and loaded by Khuram — it is ready to use. Check the following items are all present before you begin. If anything is missing, message Khuram before proceeding.
Fit Life LDN Pen
Pre-loaded and ready to inject. Each click = 0.25mg. Check the label for your batch number and expiry date.
Pen Needles
Fine gauge, short needle for subcutaneous injection. Attach a fresh needle before every injection — never reuse.
Alcohol Swabs
Sterile 70% isopropyl swabs. Use one on your skin at the injection site before every injection.
Sharps Bin
Dispose of every used needle immediately. Drop full sharps bins at any local pharmacy — they'll handle it free of charge.
Storing Your Pen
Your pen is pre-loaded and ready — just keep it in the right conditions between injections.
🧊 Always refrigerate at 2–8°C. Keep the pen in the fridge between uses. Do not freeze. Avoid leaving it in direct sunlight or near a heat source.
✅ Remove from the fridge 10–15 minutes before injecting. Room-temperature solution is more comfortable to inject than cold. Set it on a clean surface — do not warm with your hands or run under hot water.
🚫 Do not leave the pen at room temperature for more than 30 minutes. Heat degrades the peptide. If you've left it out longer, message Khuram before using it.
🪡 Remove the needle after every injection. Never store the pen with a needle attached — this can cause air bubbles and contamination. Attach a fresh needle each time.
Your Dosing Schedule
Retatrutide is dosed once weekly, subcutaneously (under the skin). Each click of your Fit Life LDN pen delivers 0.25mg — so dosing is as simple as counting clicks. Khuram will confirm your starting dose individually. Always follow the dose Khuram has set for you — do not escalate without checking in first.
| Week | Dose (mg) | Pen Clicks | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1–4 | 0.5mg | 2 clicks | Titration — assess tolerance |
| 5–8 | 1mg | 4 clicks | Escalate only if well tolerated |
| 9–12 | 2mg | 8 clicks | Check in with Khuram before escalating |
| 13–16 | 3mg | 12 clicks | Only on instruction |
| 17+ | Per plan | Per plan | Maintenance dose set individually |
⚠️ Never self-escalate your dose. If you feel your dose is not working, message Khuram — do not simply add more clicks. Escalation decisions are made based on your check-in data, not how you feel on a single day.
Your First Injection
Subcutaneous injections go into the fat layer just under the skin — not into muscle. Your Fit Life LDN pen makes this straightforward: no drawing, no measuring, just dial your clicks and inject. With the right technique, most people feel little to nothing.
Preferred Injection Sites
Abdomen
Best starter site. 2–3 inches from the navel, left or right side. Pinch if slim.
Upper Thigh
Outer third of the thigh. Easy to see and reach. Rotate each week.
Upper Arm
Back of the arm (tricep area). Needs a second person or practice to self-inject here.
Set Your Dose
Dial the pen to your prescribed number of clicks. Count clearly — each click is 0.25mg. Your current dose will be confirmed by Khuram. Do not go past the instructed number of clicks.
Choose & Prepare Your Site
Clean the injection site with an alcohol swab. Wait 10–15 seconds for it to dry fully — wet alcohol can sting and may introduce bacteria.
Pinch (If Needed)
For leaner areas, gently pinch 2–3 inches of skin between your thumb and forefinger to lift the fat away from the muscle below.
Insert the Needle
Hold the pen firmly against your skin. Insert at a 45° angle for slim individuals, or 90° if there is sufficient fat tissue. Go in smoothly and with confidence — hesitation increases discomfort.
Inject Slowly
Press the pen's thumb button steadily and hold it down until the dose is fully delivered — usually 5–10 seconds. Keep the needle in place for a further 5 seconds after pressing to ensure the full dose is absorbed before withdrawing.
Withdraw & Apply Gentle Pressure
Remove the needle at the same angle you inserted. Apply light pressure with a clean swab for 10–15 seconds. Do not rub — this can push medication out of the tissue.
Cap & Dispose of the Needle
Replace the outer cap on the pen needle, then unscrew and drop the needle into your sharps bin. Never leave a needle attached to the pen between injections — always fit a fresh needle each week. The pen body is reusable.
🔄 Rotate your injection sites every week. Using the same spot repeatedly causes lipohypertrophy (hardened tissue), which reduces absorption. Keep a mental note or write it down.

Frequently Asked Questions
What day of the week should I inject?
Any day works — pick one you can commit to consistently each week. Many clients prefer Thursday or Friday so any mild nausea falls over the weekend. Inject on the same day every week to keep levels stable.
I missed my injection — what do I do?
If it's been less than 2 days, inject as soon as you remember and then continue from your normal day the following week. If it's been more than 2 days, skip and resume on your next scheduled day — do not double-dose. Message Khuram to let him know.
Can I inject if I've had alcohol?
We recommend avoiding alcohol for 24 hours before and after injection. Alcohol can worsen nausea side effects and may affect how you metabolise the compound. Long-term, reducing alcohol will also significantly improve your results on Retatrutide.
Do I need to change my diet or training?
Retatrutide works best when combined with a high-protein diet and consistent movement. You don't need a strict meal plan, but getting sufficient protein (1.6–2g per kg of bodyweight) will help protect muscle mass as you lose fat. Khuram will guide you on this during check-ins.
Do I need to prime the pen before my first injection?
Yes — before your very first use, prime the pen by dialling 1 click and pressing the button with the needle pointing upward until a small drop appears at the tip. This removes any air from the needle. You only need to do this once on first use, not before every injection.
The injection site looks red or has a small lump — is that normal?
Minor redness, a small lump, or mild itching at the injection site for 24–48 hours is very common, especially in the early weeks. This usually resolves on its own. If redness expands significantly, feels warm to touch, or you develop a fever, contact Khuram and seek medical advice.
Can I travel with my pen?
Yes. Keep the pen in an insulated cool pouch during transit. For flights, carry in your hand luggage — temperatures in the hold can freeze the solution. A medical travel letter isn't mandatory but is recommended if you're travelling with needles. Message Khuram and he can provide one.
How long until I see results?
Most clients notice reduced appetite within the first 1–2 weeks. Visible weight change typically begins in weeks 3–6, accelerating as the dose is escalated. Results vary based on adherence, diet, and individual metabolism. Trust the process — this is a long-game protocol.
I feel like the peptide isn't working anymore — what do I do?
Message Khuram before doing anything else. A plateau can be caused by dose tolerance, dietary adaptation, or changes in how you're responding to the compound. Never add more clicks without guidance. Khuram will review your check-in data and advise on next steps.
